Curve Fingerboard End
In this lesson we will curve the end of the fingerboard to match the soundhole.
Make sure you have read this lesson all the way through before beginning the lesson.
| Take a pencil and use the soundhole as a guide and mark the under side of the fingerboard. | |
| It should look like this. | |
| Cut off the excess then use a sanding disc the same diameter as the soundhole to bevel and shape the edge of the fingerboard. Rodriguez tapered the soundhole edge so as you can see in the photo I am holding the fingerboard at an angle towards the disc. | |
| The bevel should look like this. | |
| The ends are also beveled with a sanding block. |
